Where to Find New Posts

Just because I haven’t been posting on here, doesn’t mean I haven’t been writing! My latest posts include a new Top 5, my favorite read that (at the risk of sounding dramatic) has changed my life, and what was the hardest part of going plant-based (spoiler: it wasn’t giving up cheese!)

Head over to the new site to submit your email to ensure you’re receiving the latest posts.

Introducing LibbyCarl.com

Two years ago, I sat in my bedroom in our house in Cincinnati and started this blog. I had no idea what I was getting into, but I did know this:

  1. I wanted to write
  2. I was scared to death to do it
  3. I had a moment of courage and I capitalized on it.

I know this about myself: I get scared. Real scared. Almost paralyzed scared. Scared of judgment, scared of failure, and scared of what others will think. So scared that I won’t pursue what I want to do. Continue reading

Workout Without Leaving the House

It’s starting to get cold out. And it’s dark – a lot of the hours in the day. In these days, going for a run or getting to the gym isn’t always an option.

Weekly Top 5, Vol. 35 – Thankful

In my last Top 5 post, I said I was going to slow these down, which I have, but I kind of miss them! It’s hard to believe we are now in mid-November, hibernation season as the sun sets early, staring down the Holidays and all the time we get to spend celebrating with friends and family.

As I prepare for this busy and joyful season, here are the things (besides my early bedtime) making me happy… Continue reading

Weekly Top 5, Vol. 33 – Last Week of Summer

Ok, it’s not the last week of summer, but it was when I wrote most of this.

I’m a little late on this Top 5 (like three Mondays and a few hours). I missed the first Monday after a Sunday night trip to the emergency room (everyone’s fine, the youngest left with two stitches in his tongue). Then I missed the next 2 Mondays due to life. Now I’m just pulling the Band-Aid off to get back on track and so happy to be back! Here are the things making me happy… Continue reading
